Aegina Burnt Terracotta Vase

An ode to ancient Greek pottery shapes, our Aegina Burnt Terracotta Vases are made from over firing the terracotta until it turns black.

They are not painted and each piece will have subtle differences in finish - variations are part of the handmade appeal. They look beautiful alone, or with the addition of dried flowers. Unglazed terracotta is porous and should not be used to hold water.

Proudly owned and operated in Canada, the mother-daughter team of Irene and Alison travel extensively to source their designs. They especially love India’s rich textile heritage and artisanal traditions, and embrace the opportunity to work with the artisans who handmade each item. Every item in their collection has been selected because it is perfectly imperfect. That is the beauty of handmade. No two items are the same, and each one tells a unique story.
